How to pick up a player
Pickups are limited to no more than three (3) players per game.
Teams are permitted to pick up a maximum of three (3) players to provide them a maximum of 3 substitutions (indoor).
This includes rostered players and pickups. Goalies are included as one of the three (3) pickups.
All pickups must be added to the game sheet prior to the start of the game.
Only fully registered players (those with an OSA membership) may play as pickups.
If a team uses pickup player(s), rostered players on the host team must receive fair playing time.
Divisions may pick up players as follows:
Silver Division – may pick up players laterally or from the Bronze Division
Bronze Division – may pick up players laterally
Bronze teams: please note the maximum number of players registered to a Silver team is three (3). This means that when using pickups, the total combined number of double-rostered players (including the pickups) permitted to play in a game is three (3).
Examples:
- If your roster already includes two (2) double-rostered players, only one (1) pickup may also be double-rostered.
- If one of your double-rostered players is absent, you may use two (2) double-rostered pickups.
